What Are Featured Ads?
OjaIbadan Featured Ads is a paid promotion feature that helps vendors get more visibility for selected listings. When you post normally, your listing appears on the marketplace, your vendor profile, category pages, search results, and location pages. With Featured Ads, your selected listings get extra visibility in more important places on the platform.
A Featured Ad can be a Product, Service, Offer, or Promo — as long as it follows platform rules and is approved.

How Featured Ads Work
- Create a product, service, offer, or promo listing.
- Select the listing(s) you want to promote.
- Choose the Featured Ads Launch Offer.
- Pay ₦2,000 through Paystack.
- OjaIbadan confirms the payment.
- Admin reviews the Featured Ads request.
- Once approved, your selected listings become featured for 7 days.
- After 7 days, the Featured Ads status expires automatically.
Two Ways to Feature a Listing
While posting a new listing
On the Add New Listing page you'll see “Do you want to feature this listing?” — choose Yes, feature this listing and you'll be guided to pay and submit for approval.
From existing listings
Open My Listings in your dashboard and click Promote / Feature This Ad on any listing to promote it anytime.
What Happens After Payment?
Your request goes for admin review — it does not become featured immediately. This confirms the listing is active, follows the rules, payment is confirmed, and the vendor account isn't suspended. Once approved, it's featured for 7 days.
What Happens After 7 Days?
The Featured status expires automatically. Your listing stays on OjaIbadan as a normal listing but no longer receives Featured promotion unless you renew or promote it again.
Does Featured Ads Guarantee Sales?
No. Featured Ads increases visibility, but it does not guarantee sales. Customers still decide based on your photos, price, description, location, response time, reviews, verification badge, and how clear your listing is.
To get better results, make sure your listing has:
- Clear product or service photos
- Correct price or price range
- Good description
- Correct WhatsApp number
- Correct phone number
- Clear location
- Good business profile
- Fast response to customer enquiries
- Verification proof submitted if available
- Honest product/service information
Featured Ads Is Not Verification
Featured Ads means you paid to promote selected listings. Verification means you submitted proof and OjaIbadan admin approved it (CAC certificate, physical business proof, identity proof, location proof, social page, testimonials). Paying for Featured Ads does not make your business verified.

Email Promotion
Featured Ads may be included in OjaIbadan promotional emails sent to users in the morning and evening — with the ad image, title, vendor name, category, location, price, and buttons to view or contact. Another chance to be seen beyond the website.
Homepage Rotation
The homepage doesn't show all Featured Ads at once — OjaIbadan rotates them fairly (some in the morning, afternoon, evening, and night) so different vendors get visibility and no single vendor dominates.
If Your Featured Ads Request Is Rejected
A request may be rejected if:
- The payment is not confirmed
- The listing has wrong information
- The listing contains poor-quality images
- The listing violates OjaIbadan rules
- The vendor account is suspended
- The listing is misleading
- The listing is not suitable for promotion
If rejected, you'll receive a message explaining what needs attention. You can correct the issue and contact support.
